Contact Publishing was launched in February 2003 as an independent press whose mission is to deliver original, inspirational or practical ideas in the written word to the public arena. Contact Publishing provides a platform that many talented and knowledgeable individuals are able to spring from and to express themselves. We like to think 'out of the box' and consider the many different manners that people can reach their intended audience...so whilst we do traditional publishing, we have recently expanded our publishing to what we term to be micro-publishing.
Whether in micro-publishing or traditional publishing, the work we do and the authors we publish acknowledge and appreciate the contribution of the imagination, ideas, daydreams, inspiration, dreams, visions, a feeling, gut instinct, etc. These gifts from the world of imagination and creativity offers us revolutionary ideas that force us to move beyond our limitations.
While some traditional publishers focus on bestseller candidates and short-term results, we recognize that, frankly, there is no secret formula. As such, Contact Publishing looks at and accepts works based upon originality, skill and the potential of the writer. We have no illusions that we can predict the next bestseller, and though we would certainly welcome bestseller status, we are focused on works that deserve publication and an ability to build an audience over time. Our list is small but well considered and we read every manuscript that comes through the post or electronically.
